Dr. Lawrence "Larry" Schonfeld is a Professor in the Department of Aging and Mental Health at the Florida Mental Health Institute, University of South Florida. Since 1980, he has conducted research on treatment of older substance abusers. He has 50 publications in the field of behavioral health and aging, addressing substance abuse treatment, relapse prevention, behavior management, and elder abuse. He is the principal investigator for the Florida BRITE Project funded by the Florida Department of Children and Families Substance Abuse Program Office.
