| Abstract: |
In this workshop, Dr. Christine Cauffield will discuss grief/loss symptomology, address grief/loss issues and intervention techniques, and identify elder population differences in their journey through grief and loss. A case study will be utilized during the workshop to provide examples of clinical issues the clinician may face when providing therapy. |
| Goal: |
To increase the participants' awareness and skill level of treating grieving older adults. |
| Objective 1: |
Participants will recognize the elder population's cohort characteristics related to grief and loss. |
| Objective 2: |
Participants will explain intervention techniques to address elder grief/loss issues. |

Participants will identify transference/countertransference issues when working with grieving clients. |
